What does a full service include?

1) An initial assessment.

2) A gear service; replacing any cabling, or chain and cassette as needed; the front and rear derailleurs are cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and lubricated. Your shifters are sprayed with a lubricant to maintain smooth shifting and the gears are then adjusted. Before changing a chain and cassette I always make a recommendation and confirm with you the cost of these parts before going ahead.

3) A brake service: replacing cables and pads where needed; lubricating springs, centring and adjusting.

4) Minor bearing adjustments at the headset, wheels or bottom bracket, and minor wheel truing as necessary.

5) Tightening any loose wobbly racks or mudguards.

6) A full safety check: with all bolts tightened to the correct torque. If further workshop maintenance is needed I make itemised recommendations.

7) Air, oil and test ride.

I use stainless steel gear and brake cables: these are the most resistant to corrosion, slicker, and have the longest life-span …keeping your bike working better for longer.

Work guarantee

Sometimes after a service, things need a little tweak …cables stretch; wheels bed-in. If you notice something needs adjusting, within one month of a service: I’ll come and sort it without charge.
